We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Security Network Engineer in the Government industry at DES MOINES, Iowa, United States. As a Security Network Engineer, you will be involved in the Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, with a strong focus on various security technologies, policy management, incident response, and penetration testing.

Responsibilities :

• Operate within the Security Operation Center (SOC) to uphold security standards
• Utilize your experience with SSCP, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) or other relevant certifications
• Administer and maintain firewall systems to ensure optimal security
• Develop and implement security policies to safeguard information systems
• Respond promptly and efficiently to security incidents, mitigating potential threats
• Conduct regular penetration testing to identify and rectify potential security vulnerabilities
• Collaborate effectively with customers to address business challenges while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information
• Resolve complex issues requiring sophisticated analytical thought and judgment
• Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences effectively
• Foster a diverse working environment, promoting inclusivity and collaboration.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of network security engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in Security Operation Center and Security Operation is required.
• Must hold relevant security certifications such as SSCP, Comptia Security+, Comptia Network+, Comptia A+.
• Proficiency in firewall administration and configuration is essential.
• Knowledge of Comptia Network and Comptia is mandatory.
• Familiarity with cyber security policies and security policy procedures is expected.
• Must have experience in Security Incident Response.
• Proven track record of conducting Penetration Testing, including Application Penetration Testing.
• Experience with Intrusion Detect - Penetration Testing is a must.
• Should have a firm understanding of cyber security best practices and trends.
