Position Purpose
Supports full cycle network administration at intermediate level including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, mobile devices, application software, and phone-based systems
Principle Accountabilities
- Manage and administrate desktop, laptop and server-based computers at IPG sites.
- Support various server-based operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2000-current.
- Support various Windows desktop OS.
- Support mobile devices including Apple IOS and Android.
- First level support of an ethernet infrastructure including WAN, LAN and wireless.
- Support of manufacturing WMS and SFC infrastructure.
- Application support in general "Office" class of software, also support group collaboration including email and instant messaging.
- Support of proprietary, custom applications.
- Facilitate add, move, and change requests from end users as well as new communications services as required.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Participate in a group testing and development disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems.
- Assess need for system reconfigurations, participate in creating recommendations, and execute them as required.
- Interact with technical staff to ensure the safe and proper installation of cabling, wiring, and other electrical hardware.
- Provide after hours on-call technical support.
- Ability to remotely troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Performs as the technical lead on local site projects.
- Mentor and support junior network administrators.
- Travel 10 to 20 % to support facilities required
