Human Resources Assistant

Location : Charlotte, NC|Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Compensation & Schedule

  • 20 / hour
  • Full-time, contract-to-hire (W2)

As a Human Resources Assistant I, you'll be the frontline connection for employees-owning critical processes, ensuring accurate records, and helping make every interaction with HR feel seamless. It's the perfect blend of service, systems, and people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee data updates, job changes, and HR actions in modern HR systems
  • Organize and maintain secure personnel files for audit and compliance readiness
  • Respond to HR-related questions via service tools and email with clarity and care
  • Assist with onboarding by preparing documentation and supporting new hires
  • Monitor support tickets and help the team meet internal response targets
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field must have 4 year degree
  • Up to 2 years of Human resources, admin, or customer service experience
  • Confident using Excel, Outlook, and digital documentation tools, and ability to work with pivot tables, v-look ups and macros in excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Core Tools & Systems

  • Document management platforms
  • Employee helpdesk / ticketing portals
  • HRIS (e.g., Workday)
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a corporate HR or Shared Services setting
  • Awareness of HR data privacy laws (HIPAA, FMLA, FCRA)
  • Positive, people-first approach to handling employee needs
