Description
As a member of the NS IPT SHARKCAGE Engineering Team the Fiber Network Engineer will primarily provide engineering analysis, testing and evaluation support, and verifying DCO capabilities in support of SHARKCAGE Build 2.
Installing, configuring and maintaining SHARKCAGE lab components related to network routing / switching, network security and tap / tap aggregation
- Evaluating installation sites for suitable tap points for fiber connected systems, and calculating light loss attenuation to ensure proper signal integrity between existing network components
- Assisting with site support as needed for deployed SHARKCAGE systems with respect to network and tap capabilities
- Assisting with site installations as needed for new SHARKCAGE deployments or upgrades

Knowledge and deployment of networks with fiber connectivity
This position requires DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certifications :
Must have one of the following security certifications : CSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP
