Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a network engineer with the primary responsibility of managing the voice / phone network infrastructure across the Firm’s domestic offices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's voice network infrastructure, integrating with our collaboration platforms, and ensuring optimal performance and reliability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design, implement, and manage enterprise communications, including telephony features such as PSTN calling, call routing, and voice policies.
Provision collaboration and network services within Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco IM / Presence / MRA, Cisco Emergency Responder, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
Configure and troubleshoot telephony systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Support video conferencing operations as needed, and aid in large-scale setup tasks.
Develop and maintain documentation for telephony configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to telephony integration and make recommendations for enhancements or optimizations. Our engineers participate and contribute to budgeting and project management.
Monitor and maintain voice network infrastructure, including voice gateways, switches, routers, and other network components.
Analyze and determine budget requirements, current industry trends, and available product offerings to establish voice / network services; participates in planning and future enhancements for the Firm network.
Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison with telecommunications vendors.
Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure seamless integration of voice network solutions with other systems and technologies.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree strongly desired. Will consider equivalent work / military experience.
Strong understanding of telephony concepts, including SIP, VoIP, PBX systems, dialing plans and PSTN connectivity. Experience specifying telephony orders is strongly desired.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams features and capabilities, including calling plans, voice routing, and Direct Routing.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting telephony-related issues within Microsoft Teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical people.
