IT Network Administrator
We are seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Technology Manager, this role will provide essential technical services and support for IT infrastructure, SCADA / EMS systems, networks, and security. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers and vendors to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance.
This position involves managing problem resolution, system upgrades, change management, evidence collection, and providing timely after-hours support when necessary. Additionally, the role requires maintaining compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards and other applicable reliability standards in coordination with Operations, Asset Management, and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless systems) and implement system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls and IPS / IDS systems.
- Assist with server administration and other IT systems as needed.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, baseline monitoring, and evidence collection to ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards.
- Ensure reliable system backups and recovery operations.
- Enforce security policies for corporate and operational networks while advising senior management on potential security risks.
- Monitor and maintain system and network availability, conducting preventive maintenance to ensure stability.
- Provide occasional after-hours support for SCADA, EMS, and corporate systems.
- Develop and adhere to procedures for cybersecurity, change management, and IT processes.
- Participate in industry forums and ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge.
