This includes network segmentation and firewalls, web proxy, internet gateways, intrusion prevention, denial of service coordination, web application firewall, SSL / TLS inspection and other capabilities. Owning root cause analysis and forward planning of platform issues and keeping up with technology trends and advances in your area is important. You’ll build strong internal and external partnerships and serve as an extension of your team for strategic direction and overall business decisions and taking responsibility for managing key technology vendors and external partners. A good understanding of Data Science and ML ops is a plus.

Use your skills, experience and talents to lead Network Security into the next generation of capabilities.

As a Director of Technology, you will :

  • Use and continue to deepen your knowledge of networking engineering.
  • Ensure operational maturity, system stability and observability.
  • Balance cost and functionality in the future capability vision.
  • Drive the maturity of network threat detection capabilities, enabling visibility into east-west traffic, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid environments.
  • Define KPIs and metrics to continually improve time to detect and respond (MTTD / MTTR) to network-based threats.
  • Continuously evaluate new threats, attack vectors, and emerging technologies to inform roadmap planning and proactive risk reduction.
  • Drive integration between network telemetry and Target’s security operations center (SOC) to enhance visibility and threat hunting.
  • Champion automation and orchestration in the network security space to reduce manual effort and increase response times.

About you :

  • 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of network or cybersecurity experience
  • 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
  • Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
  • Successful track record of working in large enterprise technology ecosystems leading complex technology teams
  • Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology including continuous integration and delivery, with a mindset of building incrementally and delivering business value quickly
  • Strong collaboration skills, effective management of complex cross-team initiatives and leads with the desire to enable our engineering teams.
