The Network Services Specialist provides secure and dependable network services support for MARCENT’s communication systems, ensuring reliable operational connectivity. This role configures, monitors, and maintains network service infrastructure, troubleshoots connectivity issues, supports network upgrades and improvements, and maintains documentation of network performance standards. With 3–5 years of technical experience, the specialist applies expertise in maintaining and operating computer systems, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage (NAS). By combining technical proficiency with operational requirements, the Network Services Specialist ensures MARCENT networks remain available, secure, and mission-ready.

Location :

Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

Work Environment :

Office environment within a joint military / civilian / contractor staff. Includes participation in operational support for MARCENT’s communication and network services.

Physical Demands :

Primarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use. May involve hands-on tasks with network hardware and storage systems.

Work Schedule :

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.

May require flexibility during network outages, upgrades, or surge requirements.

License and Other Requirements :

Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).

Secret clearance required.

Travel :

May include CONUS and OCONUS travel to support MARCENT network operations and training.
