A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Fuel Performance and Development.
Key Responsibilities
Perform thermo-mechanical analysis of fuel rods and core components to support design and testing activities
Develop fuel and material models, and compose technical documents for reactor design and licensing
Support irradiation testing and assess fuel performance through pre-test predictions and test result interpretations
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
A minimum of 6 years of experience in fuel performance modeling or thermo-mechanical analysis
Strong skills in finite element methods, heat transfer, and solid mechanics
Experience with programming languages such as PYTHON and FORTRAN
Familiarity with nuclear fuel design methodologies, particularly for fast-neutron reactors
