Position Overview :

We are looking to hire a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our client dynamic team. This is a field-based role that will require onshore and offshore work, with the primary responsibility of supporting emergency response operations and maintaining essential equipment.

The Field Engineer will play a key role in supporting special emergency response project. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining emergency response equipment, ensuring quality documentation, assisting in design and drawing creation, and contributing technical expertise as needed. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in offshore operations, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico, and possess a strong technical background in AutoCAD, P&ID schematics, and well testing.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Emergency Response Equipment Maintenance : Oversee and ensure the functionality and upkeep of emergency response equipment used onshore and offshore.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and reports.
  • Technical Support & Design Assistance : Assist with engineering designs and modifications if required, including producing detailed AutoCAD drawings and reviewing P&IDs and safe charts.
  • Fieldwork : Perform site visits both onshore and offshore, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring all equipment is operational and meets safety standards.
  • Well Testing Support : Familiarity with well testing operations is a plus. The engineer will assist in the planning and execution of well testing activities as needed.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other team members to ensure that all project goals and timelines are met.
  • Compliance & Safety : Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures while performing field operations.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • 2-5 years of experience in offshore operations, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Familiarity with emergency response equipment and offshore systems is a significant advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to create and modify technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of P&IDs, safe charts, and other technical schematics.
  • Experience with well testing operations is highly desirable.
  • Must be available for regular travel to offshore sites and onshore locations.
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions, including offshore environments.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is required.
  • Relevant certifications in offshore safety or emergency response are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in offshore conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Must be comfortable with extended periods of travel and irregular working hours.
