About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Medix to find a qualified Pharmacist in Virginia!

Medix has partnered with a premier healthcare facility to find a dedicated Pharmacist for a high-impact travel assignment in Lynchburg. As a trusted healthcare clinician, you will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end dispensing while delivering compassionate patient care. In this role, you will navigate a high-volume retail environment completely manually, managing vault product pulls, verifying online state compliance registries, and upholding facility regulatory standards without automated dispensing systems. Schedule Details Work Week: Four 10-hour shifts per week (Operating hours: M-S 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sun 5-6 hours) Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift (40 hours per week). Responsibilities • Accurately pull required products directly from inventory vault, scan to validate items before dispensing, and manage manual end-to-end order processing. • Check online state compliance registry for every order to validate patient limits and ensure strict regulatory adherence. • Operate efficiently in a high-volume retail setting without automated dispensing machinery (like Pyxis or Omnicell). • Work independently handling back-of-house operations during solo shifts, collaborating with pharmacy technicians during peak hours. • Maintain consistent physical presence in the dispensing area to fulfill state legal requirements and keep facility vault operational.

Requirements

• Current, valid Pharmacist license in the state of Virginia & PharmD degree
• Proven high-volume retail or community pharmacy experience (CVS/Walgreens experience highly relevant)
• Manual workflow competency without automated dispensing machinery
• Ability to navigate online state databases quickly and accurately
