Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 5!

When open in early 5, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

This full-service hospital will include beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a -car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.

We are seeking a Nuclear MedicineTechnologist (Part-Time)

Our ideal candidate will report to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. As a , you will administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures. To help achieve our mission, you will complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Demonstrating radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines is of vital importance. Providing clinical services according to Nuclear Medicine practice standards while acting as a resource to Nuclear Medicine students and other technologists is required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Diploma from certified school of Radiology.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Current ARRT(NM).
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered NM and acute care experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Basic to Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
