HANOVER TOWNSHIP : HUMAN SERVICES, CASE MANAGER

Hanover Township is seeking to hire a full-time Human Services Case Manager . The Case Manager provides casework management to Hanover Township residents under 55 with governmental programs, including theTownships General Assistance (GA) and Emergency Assistance (EA) programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of both GA and EA programs, ensure client compliance with stated program directives, and assist clients with achieving self-sufficiency and improving their overall quality of life. This position requires knowledge of issues affecting moderate to low-income persons and the various programs available to them and their families. The Case Manager will also provide community outreach to increase awareness and access to programs available in the department. This position works regularly with the Office of Community Health, Youth and Family Services and Aging Social Services for wrap around meetings to ensure that Township residents are receiving the proper care. Serves as Acting Director in the absence of the Director.

The salary for this full-time, exempt position is $50,000 $55,000 annually (depending on qualifications).

The hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM 4 : 30 PM . This is a 40-hour per week position with some evenings and weekends required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelors degree in human services, or related field is required.
• Three years of experience in human services work preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• One year in a supervisory capacity is beneficial.
• Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel, as well as a willingness to learn client database management software, such as VisualGA.
