Applicants must be third- or fourth-year students of accredited domestic or international veterinary schools, pursuing a DVM, VMD, or foreign equivalent. is excited to welcome third- and fourth-year veterinary students to experience our emergency externships. You’ll see dogs, cats, and exotics on an emergency basis and collaborate with multiple independent specialties housed in the next-door building. Program Overview :  Our student externs complete two-week blocks with a typical working schedule that includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and one weekend day. You will see the most action when you work the 2 . to 10 . swing shift. Externs partner with the attending veterinarian on each shift, caring for incoming emergency and hospitalized patients and participating in patient rounds three times per day.
