Nurse Manager Job Summary :
The Nurse Manager is a qualified, experienced and a multi-task-capable Licensed Nurse covering 2nd shift and weekends as coordinator for skilled and assisted living and IL Clinic.
The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager is to assist in the planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating of Nursing Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, within the individual's scope of practice, as applicable, and as may be delegated by the DON / designee or Administrator, to assure that an acceptable degree of quality resident care can be maintained.
Qualifications
Education required :
Must be, as a minimum, a graduate of an accredited RN or LPN school of nursing.
Experience required :
Must have, as a minimum, training in a hospital, skilled nursing community, or other related
medical community. Training in rehabilitation and restorative nursing practices is preferred.
Professional license or certification requirements :
Licensed Nurse or RN unencumbered in the state of North Carolina.
C.P.R. certification
Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required :
Must possess a valid and current RN / LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and coordinate professional and non-professional personnel.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the nursing service department.
Maintaining the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.; maintaining the appearances of nursing areas; and regular inspection of nursing units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
