Job description
This Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for :
Provides expert consultation for patient / populations with complex health care needs, evaluating the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes evidence based practice
Integrating knowledge, research findings, and experience to support the incorporation of evidence-based practice into excellent bedside nursing care.
Initiates clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice and facilitates nursing research.
Advances nursing practice by participation in professional organizations, publications and dissemination.
Coordinates care and transitions in collaboration with the patient / population and inter-professional team members.
Facilitates resolution of ethical conflicts in complex patient care situations.
Supports an accountable nursing care environment that stimulates continuous self-learning, reflective practice and invites peer feedback to improve nursing practice.
Demonstrates advanced interpersonal and communication skills, employs conflict management and negotiation skills to support a healthy work environment.
Providing care to infants, children, and young adults with both acute and chronic diseases in medicine and behavioral health. Common populations include complex care, gastroenterology, pulmonary, endocrine, and behavioral health.
Working primarily Monday-Friday day shift with some schedule flexibility needed to meet off-shift practice and educational needs of staff.To qualify, you must have :
Master's degree in Nursing and Current National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) granted by a Board recognized certifying organization
APN certification and licensure in MA
A minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient pediatric nursing experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Previous CNS experience preferred.This Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) / Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) role is an indirect / direct care role.
