Position Summary
The Executive Director of Informatics and Analytics will lead and shape the goals and priorities for MemorialCare’s analytics and informatics functions and teams. They will also assist with defining how analytics and informatics will extend MemorialCare’s ability to deliver data and insights to providers and care teams to support the full spectrum of patient care. This position will work collaboratively with IS leadership, MemorialCare’s executive teams, and clinical and operations stakeholders to deliver on strategic goals such that MemorialCare continues to drive innovation, improved quality and efficiency for its patients, partners and for the healthcare ecosystem as a whole. This individual possesses and maintains expert-level knowledge and specialized experience in areas of informatics, analytics, clinical workflow application and data science methodologies. In addition, this individual possesses a solid understanding of MemorialCare’s enterprise business models and requirements as it relates to ambulatory and inpatient delivery of care, managed care and health plan delegation, ACO networks, provider networks and provider credentialing. This role ensures that all strategic initiatives and organizational goals are achieved in conjunction with the management team and staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
As a partner for clinical transformation and data strategy and in collaboration with Senior IT, Nursing, Quality, Medical and Operational Leaders, the Executive Director of Informatics & Analytics is responsible for managing core functional teams of both informatics and analytics professionals to deliver on various strategic initiatives. This position will provide direction and leadership for the Director of Informatics, Director of Analytics and Managers of Clinical and ACO (Accountable Care Organization) Analytics. The Executive Director of Informatics & Analytics plans, develops, and establishes policies, procedures and a positive MemorialCare culture that attains and surpasses our annual and long-range HcI goals and strategies established by Governance and within budgetary approvals. The Executive Director of Informatics & Analytics represents the vision and mission of MemorialCare within the community and organization in a professional and compassionate manner.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- More than 15 years of work experience specifically in healthcare focusing on managed care, population health and integrated delivery setting. Formal informatics training or clinical licensure a plus.
- More than 10 years of management and leadership experience including oversight responsibilities of other managers and leaders.
- More than 7 years of experience managing capital-based projects and strategic external resources for the purposes of planning.
- More than 7 years of experience working with patient enrollment, eligibility and claims electronic data transactions.
- Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards with a strong understanding of software/hardware evaluation principle and practices
- Proven project planning and leadership experience with exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal and consultative abilities.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience managing enterprise systems/applications, including Epic, and other related interface/integration applications (SAP, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Bridges, CareEverywhere,).
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
- Proven experience in systems, software, integration design and development.
- Strong knowledge of managed care delegation regulations according to DMHC or other like oversight.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required. Master's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
