Job descriptionBuild and manage daily testing plan at each Asphalt Plant to manage the quality of the following : Virgin Aggregate Unprocessed RAP Processed RAP Additives Asphalt Binder (AC) Plant Recipe Files Complete Internal and Regulatory testing on completed Asphalt (some examples / metrics listed below) Gradation Binder Content / Performance Grade Air Voids / Moisture / Mix Temperature Performance Testing Density / Compaction / Workability Visit Active job sites to verify quality Visit completed customer projects to monitor long term quality of Pavement Materials Generate and Execute research projects to reduce COGS, increase mix quality, increase sustainability, boost recycled content and help grow new product lines Oversee Field Density testing on paving sites Oversee Coring of asphalt for analysis Manage applicable grant reporting obligations associated with Lab activities Update and enforce SOPs to be used by all Lab personnel
