RD Nutrition Consultants LLC, a nationally recognized leader in clinical nutrition consulting, is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to provide remote clinical nutrition services in Missouri . This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule — ideal for a skilled dietitian looking to supplement existing work or maintain clinical engagement on a part-time basis.

You’ll have the freedom to complete assessments and consults within 72 hours , while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk, adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.

Offer nutrition education and counseling to patients and families regarding acute disease management, discharge planning, and prevention of readmission.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS), and best practice guidelines for acute care nutrition.

Maintain timely and thorough electronic documentation reflecting medical necessity and intervention effectiveness.

Monitor patients for acute changes in weight, labs, and clinical condition, adjusting nutrition interventions as needed.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a nutrition resource for healthcare staff.

Perform other related duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD / RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Active Missouri state license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).

1–3 years of recent acute care clinical experience (required).

Demonstrated experience with diverse and complex medical conditions.

Proficiency in enteral and parenteral nutrition support .

Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation and hospital workflows.

Ability to work autonomously and maintain clinical excellence in a remote setting.
