ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Networks with businesses throughout the Southeast MI region to develop relationships and foster business opportunities for Occupational and Workplace Health.
- Develops, communicates, implements and updates annual goals toward the attainment of increased business / volumes for Occupational and Workplace Health; evaluates the business climate, identifies / designs programs and services based on client needs through careful market analysis. Partners with Urgent Care leadership to communicate goals, provide support for new client development for the Occupational and Workplace Health program.
- Has oversight for the assigned region (SEMI or WMI) Occupational and Workplace Health sites; ensures that sites have adequate provider and support staff to align with hours of operation and provide a high level of service to program customers.
- Meets regularly with program medical leadership, managers and staff to communicate changes, convey new business opportunities and provide updates on regulatory or other policy / program changes.
- Ensures regulatory compliance at all clinics per the guidelines and policies of applicable regulatory agencies.
- Regularly attends conference or other educational opportunities to develop and maintain knowledge of applicable trends, laws and regulations relating to occupational and workplace health programs.
- Develops, implements, communicates and educates on policies and procedures required to maintain an efficient and well run occupational and workplace health program; ensures close partnership and support for the Michigan Workplace Health Medical Director.
- Communication, collaboration and regular meetings between the two regional Program Managers is essential to ensure alignment in the scope, policies, procedures and communications for TH Michigan Occupational and Workplace Health program.
- Ensures that the occupational and workplace health team members are appropriately trained, customer service oriented and timely in their communications with customers; Ensures that Urgent Care leadership are trained in
- Provides support and leadership to incorporate new locations into the Occupational and Workplace Health program.
- Manages the work of assigned staff including the monitoring of staff competencies, hiring of new staff, orientation of new assignments and developing goals and objectives. Evaluates the performance of staff, conducts annual performance appraisal, recommends merit increases, promotions and utilizes resolution process when needed, in accordance with IHA service and human resource guidelines.
- Instrumental in the development and implementation of the program-specific vision, long-term objectives and business plan, and ensures they are in alignment with IHA’s priorities. Develops, maintains and effectively communicates policies, protocols and procedures in support of this effort. Provides regular updates to IHA leadership regarding productivity, fiscal performance and viability of Program functions.
- Evaluates the financial, (provider) staffing and other impact areas that potentially affect TH IHA Medical Group’s ability to expand and develop this program.
- Creates annual program budgets, ROI’s and work plans.
- Develops and maintains productive, professional relationships with the providers, hospital administration and IHA leadership.
- Identifies trends and opportunities for improvement by compiling and reviewing program financial reports, identifies and reports out on financial trends and issues, prepares and makes presentations on program performance.
- Establishes meeting agendas through a solid understanding of the scope of each meeting; develops presentations; may also present at meetings. Attendance is required at all meetings that support the program.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or equivalent; preference for MBA or MHA.
CREDENTIALS / LICENSURE : None
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 6-8 years’ experience working with healthcare operational management; Strongly prefer 3-4 years’ experience managing a physician group practice or background in occupational / workplace health.
