Purpose Statement / Position Summary
Occupational Therapy care in acute, inpatient rehab and outpatient. The Physical and Occupational Therapy Aide assists the Physical and Occupational Therapist (PT / OT) in the delivery of services by performing delegated patient care and treatments specific to age and developmental level under direct PT or OT supervision as outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Performs variety of tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance of physical environment, safety checks, clerical duties, equipment maintenance, patient transport. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience
6+ months experience as a Physical / Occupational Therapy Aide preferred. Good verbal communication skills, good time management and organization skills, enjoys working with children.
Education / Licensure / Certification
Required : High school graduate or equivalent; American Heart Association CPR / BLS certification. Preferred : Physical or Occupational Therapy academic preparation in progress; and / or experience as Physical or Occupational Therapy aide.
Pay Scale Information $43,680.00-$65,062.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
