Responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist Assistant:

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

• Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to help patients achieve their goals.

• Monitor patients' progress and provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist.

• Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies for improving daily activities and overall quality of life.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.

Qualifications of an Occupational Therapist Assistant:

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.

• Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.

• Ability to assist and lift patients as needed.

• The capability to perform physical tasks and stand for an extended period
