Overview
The Natural Resources Land Stewardship Front Office Administrator provides a unique and rewarding temporary employment opportunity. Individuals will be the front-facing person in the Land Stewardship office by helping Larimer County landowners with their vegetation management projects. That will include selling herbicides, providing information on the Colorado Noxious Weed Act, and identifying plants. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge pertaining to native and non-native plants, loves to educate people about environmental issues, and has the initiative to work unsupervised.
Natural Resources manages Larimer County's great outdoor places, and fosters responsible land stewardship through weed management and healthy forest practices. Our mission is to establish, protect, and manage significant regional parks and open lands providing quality outdoor recreational opportunities and stewardship of natural resource values. The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. This is a lightly-benefitted position with a duration of up to 10 months.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing :
- Communicating with staff and the public through phone and email.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Educating the public on weed-related laws, procedures, and policies.
- Identifying plant species.
- Managing tasks such as processing weed complaints, cost-share applications, herbicide sales, and requests for site visits, seeding, and spraying services.
- Preparing and sending mailings.
- Maintaining accurate records and performing data entry into various databases.
