The 1-A District Agricultural Association, (DAA) Cow Palace Arena & Event Center is recruiting to fill one (1) Box Office Manager position located in Daly City, CA.

Under the direction of the Secretary-Manager V (CEO), the Box Office Manager will plan, direct, and oversee box office functions for all events, which includes ticket sales, front of house, and venue configuration of the 1-A District Agricultural Association / Cow Palace.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Plan, organize and direct box office functions for all events held in the facilities including concerts, trade shows, sporting events, lectures, conventions, and cultural events.
- Determine allocation for tickets in house, to agencies, and to computer outlet terminals.
- Determine ticket needs and order accordingly, including review and analysis of appropriate counterfeiting protections on all admission, parking and credential tickets.
- Manage all parking ticketing functions.
- Analyze needs of major promoters and scale the house accordingly; order ticket stock, build event sales platforms with ticketing supplier; monitor tickets and money on a daily basis and count and balance total tickets remaining against cash received at the end of the event.
- Coordinate group sales, and complimentary tickets for each event.
- Balance sales reports and change fund for every seller at the end of each event.
- Balance each account and prepare settlement statements and checks at the close of each performance.
- Supervise the handling and accountability of admission income; ensure the safety and transfer of large sums of cash.
- Code and receipt daily bank deposits for each event in process and prepare deposits.
- Track and deposit all eTix sales into accounting system.
- Create audit controls and written procedures for all aspects of the DAA’s ticket operations.
- Supervise a small civil service staff. Address staff performance issues as needed.
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate Front of House Ambassadors and ticket sellers.

Working Conditions
Incumbent will work in a standard office environment in addition to indoor and outdoor events with various degrees of weather. May regularly be required to work irregular hours and weekends dependent on the needs of the event schedule and fair.
