Job description

We are seeking dynamic candidates for a Gynecologic Oncologist position with The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TSPMG). This clinician’s role is to consult and treat (medically and surgically) patients with gynecologic cancers. This individual will also surgically manage patients with benign complex pelvic pathology.

Ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited fellowship program in gynecologic oncology, board certified or board eligible in gynecologic oncology, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, with most of their cases performed in a minimally invasive fashion-Robotic surgery (based on case list review). New graduates will be considered.

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia’s largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 500 physicians and 150 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to over 300,000 Kaiser Permanente members. Care is delivered at 26 medical offices featuring state-of-the-art equipment, labs, imaging services, and pharmacies. We also provide surgical services and around the clock care at some of the area’s top hospitals.

TSPMG offers a competitive salary, a generous retirement package, paid time off, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, long and short-term disability, relocation allowance, and more. We also offer numerous clinical and non-clinical learning opportunities and physician leadership development.

Atlanta, our home for more than 30 years, is a thriving metropolis that blends southern charm with modern art, music, and culture.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status. We maintain a drug and nicotine free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  1. Consultant to clinicians in the department regarding management of patients with benign and malignant conditions
  2. Medically and Surgically manage patients in the department of Ob/Gyn with malignant conditions

  4. Refer patients to Radiation Oncology (internal service)
  5. Refer patients to the Infusion Center for chemotherapy (internal service) and manage related complications
  6. Prescribe chemotherapy to patients with gynecologic malignancies
  7. Perform lectures to colleagues in the Ob/Gyn department
  8. Collaborate with TSPMG radiation oncologists in developing treatment plans
  9. Assist with advancing the MIS skills for other surgeons in the department
  10. Collaborate with genetic counselors as needed
  11. Assist with the development and performance of a clinical research component in the department
