Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center is a busy, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center. We are looking for a top-performer with solid knowledge of Operating Room Nursing.

Job Summary : The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing a surgical procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the young adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 6 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, plastic and general surgery.

• Addresses the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs / responses of the patient.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change.
• Demonstrates a positive can do attitude
• Work is accurate and complete
• Demonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standards
• Functions as a team member
• Completes initial and annual competencies as required.
• Maintains licenses and certifications.
• Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break and rest periods
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Attends required department meetings.
• Assumes responsibility for continuing education requirements
• No nights, weekends, evenings, holidays or on call
