Job Summary
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent RN clinical experience in an inpatient operating room.
- Recent experience (within the last two years) circulating and / or scrubbing cases in Orthopaedic and at lease one additional service : Endocrine, GYN, Plastics or Pulmonary, in the inpatient setting.
- This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations as needed
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Current American Heart Association CPR for healthcare providers

Department Description
The Operating Room (OR) at Mount Zion (MZ) is an inpatient care facility and it's comprised of 10 suites performing procedures and surgery in breast / plastics, endocrine, otology / head / neck / sinus (OHNS), benign gynecology, ophthalmology, minimally invasive spine, pain services, radiation oncology and orthopedic surgery.
The Mount Zion OR serves patients of least of 18 years of age and patients must be eligible for surgery on an outpatient, inpatient, or overnight stay basis. The OR has recently redesigned and built two new operating suites, which possess state-of-the-art integrated computer and video systems.
The main focus is on cancer treatment with some surgeon clinics located in the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center building. This is also the primary site for ophthalmology surgery which continues to grow every year. Recently we added orthopedic surgery to our Mount Zion surgical services. There are three sub- specialties in orthopedics : shoulder joint, hand and wrist, and ankle surgery.
