Position Summary
The Director of Operations is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth of Agape’s Way’s Skilled Home Health Agency and Medical Group Home programs. This role ensures excellence in patient care, operational efficiency, financial performance, and team culture. The Director of Operations collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders to drive quality outcomes, maximize census, and uphold our core values of excellence, integrity, teamwork, faithfulness, compassion, and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Serve as the operational leader, implementing the CEO’s vision and driving organizational goals.
Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies that support growth, sustainability, and quality outcomes.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for clinical managers, group home administrators, and support staff.
Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and compassionate care across all service lines.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with AHCA, CHAP, CMS, APD, and all state / federal regulations governing skilled home health and group home operations.
Oversee survey readiness, corrective action plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate key quality indicators (readmissions, patient satisfaction, incident reports, infection control, etc.).
Lead audits, prepare reports, and serve as liaison with regulatory agencies.
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of the home health agency (skilled nursing, therapy, aides) and group homes (residential care, staffing, life skills programming).
Manage staffing levels to meet regulatory requirements and acuity needs.
Optimize scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in EMR and agency systems.
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistency and accountability.
Financial & Business Performance
Partner with the finance team to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and drive profitability.
Track KPIs such as census growth, revenue cycle, referrals, and payer mix.
Identify opportunities for cost control without compromising care quality.
Support growth initiatives including expansion of service lines, referral partnerships, and new program development.
Human Resources & Team Development
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of staff.
Ensure staff receive required preservice and in-service training (per AHCA, APD, CHAP, CMS regulations).
Implement performance evaluations, corrective actions, and recognition programs.
Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with Agape’s Way values.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources (hospitals, case managers, physicians, APD, payers).
Represent Agape’s Way at community events, healthcare associations, and professional networking forums.
Collaborate with families and guardians to support continuity of care and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, with direct oversight of skilled home health or group homes preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AHCA, CMS, CHAP, and APD regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, census growth, and staff development.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and programs effectively.
