About the Opportunity :
We are recruiting for an experienced, dynamic, Operations leaders to serve in the role of Vice President of Operations with responsibility of 100-125+ veterinary hospitals, located in the Pacific Northwest, CA and AZ areas. Reporting directly to the COO, this leader will provide strategic direction and business support to all hospitals to meet goals and performance targets. The VP of Operations will be supporting a group of divisional leaders and regional managers in achieving operational excellence, building strong culture, and recruiting and retaining regional and local teams of veterinarians and support staff, to ensure that each hospital is fully supported and able to thrive. The VP of Operations will spend extensive time in the field to support existing hospital leadership and staff, as well as supporting new hospitals during post-acquisition integration, to ensure all hospitals are operating optimally and help scale and grow the business.
About You :
The ideal candidate is an experienced multi-site Operations leader with prior success in a high-growth environment (ideally in vet, pet, healthcare, dental or similar). This is a great role for someone who has successfully managed multiple locations (ideally 100+) in a fast-paced, highly acquisitive environment. The ideal candidate is a strong general manager with a goal-oriented attitude, is comfortable navigating through complexity and ambiguity, has a passion for training and team development, and the business, financial, and strategic acumen to help scale a rapidly growing business and team. Ideal qualifications :
- BA is required, MBA preferred
- Located in Pacific Northwest, CA or AZ
- 10+ years of multi-site (100+ locations preferred) operational and / or management experience in high-growth, complex, healthcare rollup businesses. Veterinary industry experience is a plus.
- Experience building multi-site or multi-state businesses through M&A, organic growth, or de novo business models
- Ability to analyze and assess complex and ambiguous data to make recommendations for strategic and operational improvements (budget, staffing, ROI, margins etc), leveraging data analytics tools such as Excel, Powerpoint, and Tableau
- Proven track record of success leading people management, culture and team building
- Willingness to spend time in the field and travel (approximately 50% of time)
