Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer to support site-level transition activities as part of our broader Separation Management Plan (SMP). In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the successful execution of manufacturing operations impacted by divestiture or separation activities.
In this position, you will serve as the engineering liaison at the site level, coordinating closely with central program teams, technical subject matter experts, and local operations leadership. Your work will help ensure all transition tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with contractual, regulatory, and business requirements.
This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to complex, customer-driven strategic initiatives while contributing to a highly visible business transition within the aerospace manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
Execute assigned site-level tasks supporting manufacturing separation and divestiture activities under the SMP.
Serve as the primary engineering point of contact between site operations and central separation program teams.
Coordinate cross-functional actions involving engineering and programs.
Support accurate documentation, tracking, and closure of transition deliverables.
Ensure separation activities are executed in compliance with contractual obligations, internal procedures, and regulatory standards.
Identify risks, gaps, or execution challenges and escalate appropriately with recommended solutions.
Participate in reviews, audits, and readiness assessments related to separation milestones.
Support continuous communication to ensure alignment across all stakeholders throughout the transition process.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Prior engineering experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Qualifications We Prefer
Electrical engineering experience and / or actuation product experience is preferred.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing).
Familiarity with production processes, shop floor execution, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience coordinating cross-functional activities across engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations.
Experience working on transition, transfer, or site integration activities is a plus.
Proficiency with standard engineering and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP / MRP, PLM, or document control tools).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
