Basic mathematics, such as addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals Load and unload vehicles, using pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment Organize work schedules Influence others (advise, persuade, negotiate, instruct & train). Deal with frustrating situations. Prepare reports. Recognize site alarms and malfunctions. Read and understand training materials Visualize the connections / relationships between piping, valves and other components of the filling and warehouse systems Provide quick reaction and immediate response to required situations Prepares work schedules Schedules inter-district shipments Completes monthly inventories Enforces compliance with regulations and policies Supervises bleach manufacturing and compressed gas operations Enforces safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment Orders and / or schedules the delivery of raw materials and products Assists with EPA and Homeland Security audits Prepares reports Conducts safety meetings Assists with training Maintains vehicle files Supervises bulk shipments Maintain PSM program Assists with hiring Supervises laboratory operations Performs safety inspections Schedules vehicle maintenance Assists in the packaging, manufacturing and loading areas Dispatches and supervises truck drivers Maintain all transportation assets DOT compliant Maintains daily inventories Maintains personnel files Monitors tank farm operations Information Input / Use of Senses Identifies or recognizes objects, events, processes, or behavior in the work environment to determine the causes for malfunction or poor performance. Visually inspects operating sites, cylinders and containers Hears alarm signals in order to follow safety procedures Uses sense of touch to help determine condition and presence of compressed gases in cylinders or containers Excessive Noise Extreme Hot and Cold Temperatures Vibrations Different Atmospheric Conditions that depend on specific area to be worked in Hazardous materials, Bleach, caustic, HCl and chlorine gas Outdoor weather conditions, working in salt yard and changing roof filters Work irregular hours, swing shifts, Day and Night Shifts with 12-hour shifts Climbs ladders to examine equipment. Frequently exerting forces equivalent to lifting up to approximately 50 pounds or occasionally 100 pounds. Stands in place for long periods of time while performing reconditioning and filling tasks Performs activities requiring finger dexterity, such as rebuilding or replacing valves Packaging tasks require stamina, due to almost continuous movement of the fingers, hands, and / or arms Performs reconditioning and filling tasks that must be performed in the proper sequence Completes filling logs and other plant reports Solves problems requiring analysis of operations policies and procedures. Communicates policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations to operations employees. Works with production and delivery deadlines Safety concerns require quick and immediate response to certain situations, such as spills or leaks Frequently involved in interpersonal or social situations involving advising, persuading, or supervising. Company expects a professional demeanor and positive attitude when dealing with customers, vendors and employees. Operations Manager

Reports To : Regional Operations Manager & VP of Operations
Mobile, Alabama
Operations Manager is to oversee the safe and efficient processing of chemicals in our industrial settings & to assist the Area Manager with the operation of the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all chemicals are handled and stored correctly, supervising teams of workers and monitoring their performance, and ensuring that safety regulations are followed. The Operations Manager must also be able to identify and troubleshoot any potential safety issues that arise.
