Responsibilities

The Operations Supervisor is a key leader position in the distribution and operations organization reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as knowledge of warehouse operations Preference for warehouse automation experience is a plus but not required. The Operations Supervisor leads day to day operations and personnel, ensuring the highest level of customer service to customers. Leads union and non-union employees and enjoys building a team.

Planning - Ability to identify and plan for staffing requirements based on knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations. Make decisions based on experience and operations planning . Ensures that procedures and processes match requirements of the operation. Capability to train and implement new technology and processes while maintaining productivity.

Continuous Improvement - Development and implementation of performance-based metrics in order to drive results through continuous improvement programs such as lean six sigma

Safety - Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary. Ensure compliance with appropriate government regulations.

Qualifications

3+ years Operations management experience

Supply Chain supervisory experience

Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights and weekends when required

20% In-state travel requirement
