This position isresponsible for planning the daily shipping and receivingactivities of the unit to achieve department and organizationalmetrics. Determines job assignments and coordinates all aspects ofreceiving, selection, put-away, safety, inventory control andsanitation, ensuring productivity goals are metefficiently.

Hiring 2nd and 3rd ShiftSupervisors only. Must be open to 2nd or 3rd shift and all days perweek to be considered.

WhatYou'll beDoing :

Interviews,trains, develops and maintains appropriate staffing levels to meetdaily operationalgoals.

Works to identifyhigh potential team members within their span of care that may beinterested in further development opportunities, helping create asuccession bench forleadership

• Foster positive workingrelationships with new and existing Team Members and Unionrepresentatives, where applicable, to promote Team Membersatisfaction and increase retention
• Cultivate apositive and innovative work environment. Promotes a teamenvironment that values, encourages and supportsdifferences.

Ensure adherence toMeijer policies, procedures andpractices.

Responsible toestablish and maintain DC Scorecard metrics for productivity andefficiency for defined area of responsibility. Utilizes data-basedanalysis to identify opportunities for improved operatingperformance.

Trains,coaches and leads work teams to achieve performance, quality, costand service goals.  Ensures their ability to safely operatematerial handling equipment to move materials to and from storageconfigurations.

Managesteam member concerns and leads all investigations. Providesrecommendation on discipline if needed to their First Assistant andHuman Resources representative foralignment.

Monitor andtrack performance metrics for direct reports.  Delivercoaching, retraining and disciplinary action to team members asnecessary.

Administrativeduties related to production, shipping and qualityperformance.
