Job Description
Job Description
The Town is seeking multiple Boathouse Operators to assist with operations at Lake Benson Boathouse. These customer focused positions assist the public with canoe, kayak and on boat rentals for use on Lake Benson. Ideal candidates will enjoy working with the public in an outdoor setting.
Lake Benson Boathouse is scheduled to be open through October 26. The Boathouse will be staffed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM.
Successful applicants will be scheduled 10-40 hours per week during the season with flexibility in scheduling on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays depending on availability.
Examples of Duties :
This position provides customer service support for patrons at Lake Benson Boathouse, including :
- Welcoming visitors and explaining rules and regulations for boat, kayak, and canoe rentals
- Processing paperwork and payments for rentals
- Inspecting and preparing boats and other equipment for use
- Monitoring the Boathouse and lake for the safety and comfort of participants
- Monitoring compliance with boating and fishing regulations and Town of Garner policies
- Opening and / or closing the facility
- Assisting with Town-wide special events as needed

This is a seasonal position scheduled for 10-40 hours per week.
Individual work schedules will vary and may include daytime hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
