Description
Our Certified Opthalmic Assistant / COA works to obtain and document patient history, determining visual acuity, perform automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes, basic lensometry, pupillary assessment, visual field testing, PAM, basin ocular motility assessment, manual and automated keratometry, osmolarity testing, administers eye drops, ointments and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician.
DAY SHIFT : 7 : 30a-4p
They will conduct the measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry) and perform ocular imaging including OCT, Topography and fundus photography.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an Ophthalmology practice. JCAHPO Ophthalmic Certification (COA) required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date).
- BLS Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
