Description
Primary Function :
- Under the direct supervision of the Ophthalmologist / Optometrist, the Ophthalmic Technician provides a variety of preliminary ocular assessment activities, including but not limited to, obtaining a complete and accurate medical history, visual acuity and stereo testing, lensometry, motility, applanation tonometry, pupil dilation, potential acuity meter testing and, and manifest refraction / autorefractometry. Increasingly complex patient procedures may also be assigned as determined by level of proficiency and experience.
