Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Optical Design. Relevant and practical experience implementing design systems. Comprehensive understanding of the opto-mechanical designs of precision assemblies. Proficient in CodeV and Zemax. Working knowledge and experience using CAD / Solidworks. Positive reputation assisting customers and working with internal employees. Description :
We have an immediate opening for an Optical Engineer who will be responsible for the optical design, optimization and manufacturing support of all precision lens assemblies.
Job Expectations :
- Develop and support production builds of new and existing Opto-Mechanical lens assemblies.
- Support optical assembly processes for existing products, including implementation of design changes, process improvements, troubleshooting and correction actions.
- Interface with manufacturing, process engineering, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Support Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing efforts to develop and drive product and process improvements.
- Understand manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process improvements of new and / or existing product lines.
