We take great pride in being a member of Sekisui House, a global leader in homebuilding. This impressive, 60+ year old company has built over 2.6 million new homes designed to reflect and adapt to the changing needs of today's homebuyers. Drawing on Sekisui House's unparalleled history and superior service, we commit ourselves to a future where people around the world can live joyful lives in homes that are safe, secure, stylish and comfortable.

We encourage a company culture that promotes professionalism, teamwork, health & wellness and work-life balance. If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for success, consider building a career with us.

Positive Work Environment & Culture

  • Collaborative Team Culture: Join a supportive environment where teamwork and the open exchange of ideas are highly valued.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in a variety of team-building events and social gatherings, such as company outings, holiday celebrations, and regular office socials. We support a healthy work-life balance and recognize the importance of time outside of work commitments.

Overview & Position Summary

This role supports the development, maintenance, and execution of structural and design options offered across homebuilding communities. The position ensures option offerings are accurate, cost-effective, buildable, and aligned with product strategy and customer expectations. It collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to refine option selections and support operational readiness from plan creation through construction. The role plays an important part in driving option accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout the build cycle.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain community-specific option catalogs, ensuring offerings are current, feasible, and aligned with product standards.

Coordinate with Purchasing, Architecture, Construction, Design Studio, and Sales to validate option details, pricing, and documentation.

Review construction plans, elevations, and specifications to ensure options are properly detailed and accurately integrated.

Respond to field and internal team inquiries related to option feasibility, conflicts, or build requirements.

Support the launch of new communities and plans by preparing option sheets, documentation, and updates for system configuration.

Analyze option performance trends and provide recommendations to improve profitability, customer appeal, and operational efficiency.

Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot option-related issues and implement corrective improvements.

Contribute to process enhancements that improve accuracy, communication flow, and consistency across option offerings.

Education & Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience OR 68 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred: Experience in residential construction, homebuilding operations, architectural drafting, purchasing, or design studio environments.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of residential construction fundamentals and build processes.

Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, and construction documents.

Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communicator able to explain option details, standards, and policies to cross-functional partners.

Proficient in project coordination with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and functional areas.

Solid organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to identify process gaps and contribute to operational improvements.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related platforms (e.g., plan review tools, ERP systems).

Customer-focused mindset with an emphasis on accuracy and service.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment. Periodic visits to construction sites may be required, where exposure to outdoor weather, uneven surfaces, and active construction activity may occur. Occasional travel to community sites or vendor meetings as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods to perform computer-based work.

Ability to stand and walk during site visits, including navigating uneven terrain.

Ability to lift and carry materials or documents up to 20 pounds on occasion.

Ability to visually review detailed drawings, plans, and specifications.

Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $71,000 - $85,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary

Comprehensive Benefits Package

We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families:
