Job Description
Sampler Stores, Inc., D / B / A Rally House; Kansas Sampler seeksa Senior Database Developer for Lenexa, KS. The Senior Database Developer will be responsible forthe following job duties : Develop, update, and manage all elements of proprietary data and analytical software program for retail assortment and purchasing
Responsibilities
The Senior Database Developer will be responsible for the following job duties :
- Develop, update, and manage all elements of proprietary data and analytical software program for retail assortment and purchasing.
- Retail Sales and SKU analytics.
- Ad hoc data reporting created per request and shared via flat files or integrations to external systems.
- Retail Supply Chain Analytics. Retail Labor and sales forecasting.
- Ecommerce display analytics and algorithms for direct usage on company ecommerce website.
- Data integration between our data source of truth and all local databases and external siloed data sources.
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent organization skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field; Sixyears experience which must be progressive and include the following, concurrently : 6 years in performance tuning SQL queries on OLAP databases; 4 years in windows and Unix-based file transfer and data transfer systems used for ETL; 4 years in data modeling and governance, Objects review and best practices; 4 years in ETL pipelines with ODBC and RDBMS-NetSuite; 5 years in data modeling, data architecture, data warehouse, data marts, data lakes, ETL, analytic solutions, and other areas directly relevant to data engineering; 5 years as an SQL Developer or in a similar role; Experience in Cloud infrastructure using Azure and familiarity with Azure cloud and cloud native technologies (ADF, ADLS, Azure DevOps); Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tool experience; Experience as a production DBA. Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS; Experience with SQL Server Profiler and reading Execution Plans; Experience with aggregating large data sets and be able to create stored procedures, triggers, and functions to manipulate those large data sets; SQL operational management (backups, maintenance plans, new server setup) experience.
Position also requires the following : Background in IT infrastructure, including systems or network administration; Demonstrated knowledge of programing languages, including Python, JavaScript, SQL, .NET, Ped and TSQL; Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile development methodology; Expert-level Microsoft SQL coding / querying skills in SQL Server; Understanding of RDBMS principles; Strong demonstrated Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and above; Demonstrated ability to review and optimize large pieces of SQL code. Remote work allowed.

Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up to 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
