Database Management :

Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.

Manage database storage, memory, and other resources efficiently.

Backup and Recovery :

Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.

Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loss or corruption.

Security and Compliance :

Implement and enforce database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Database Design and Development :

Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas.

Review and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.

Support application development by providing database expertise and guidance.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

Monitor database performance and proactively address issues.

Diagnose and resolve database-related problems, including connectivity, locking, and deadlocks.
