Core Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Planning
Lead and evolve Tuckernuck’s organic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. Build and manage a monthly and seasonal content calendar aligned with merchandising moments, marketing campaigns, and key business initiatives (e.g. “The Find the Fun List,” new arrivals, lifestyle guides, partnerships etc). Define the purpose of each social platform and develop content pillars to support brand storytelling, product marketing, and community building. Champion a test-and-learn culture, especially on video-first platforms like TikTok and IG Reels, to drive innovation and relevance.
Content Creation & Visual Storytelling
Develop evergreen franchises and recurring content formats that keep our community engaged, such as “Tuckernuck Try-Ons,” “Behind the Scenes,” “Staff Picks,” and influencer-led styling. Guide and approve all organic content, ensuring consistent tone, styling, and voice across platforms. Partner with creative and content production teams when necessary to concept and create visually compelling, social-first content that reflects the Tuckernuck aesthetic.
Authenticity & Community Building
Prioritize storytelling and lifestyle content (travel, local guides, entertaining ideas, real team moments) alongside product launches and campaigns. Lead proactive and reactive community engagement to foster brand love and deepen the relationship with our followers. Identify and collaborate with creators who align with Tuckernuck’s values—prioritizing authenticity over follower count.
Cross-Functional & Store-Level Collaboration
Partner closely with teams across marketing, ecommerce, merchandising, influencer, and paid media to ensure social campaigns are integrated and aligned. Collaborate with store teams to establish a clear and structured strategy for local content—providing creative guidance while maintaining brand consistency. Support performance marketing efforts by aligning social content with business objectives and digital KPIs.
Success Measurement & Optimization
Own social media analytics and reporting, surfacing key insights and opportunities for improvement. Monitor performance KPIs including engagement rate, follower growth, reach, shares / saves, video views, and traffic to site—making data-driven decisions to refine strategy. Regularly evaluate content and platform performance against key KPIs including engagement, reach, follower growth, site traffic, and attributed sales. Build strategies and content pillars that map directly to performance objectives—from engagement-driving Reels to follower-growth campaigns and traffic-driving educational content. Use data and insights to identify what resonates most with the Tuckernuck customer and optimize accordingly.
