Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the site’s / segment’s operations, schedules, and / or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job / role scope. Receives guidance on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound business practices. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job / role accountabilities, such as relationships with customers and internal service organizations.

The successful incumbent is preferred to be located in Texas.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following :

With the Business Office and / or Sales, drives or supports any quote activity within business segment.

Manage two or more projects of medium complexity (technology, organizationally). Lead cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings

Works with senior Business Development team members to develop bids, proposals and presentation packages for customers.

Present and communicate status to the business leaders and customers. Reviews and interprets customer documentation.

Applies knowledge to support the team with strategy and tactic development.

Arranges and coordinates details pertaining to customer visits and audits (including confidentiality agreement activity, visit preparation and logistics.

Interfaces with Business Office and customers to compile, develop, validate, and communicate repair / shipments plans that support overall business goals.

Identifies business process enhancements and participates in their design and implementation.

Completes customer submitted surveys, self audit forms and information requests.

Performs win / loss analysis and tracks results for the business segment.

Performs customer forecast rollups for the business segment.

Utilizes Customer Relationship Highground principles and other tools to assist the Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams in the development of the strategies, tactics and value propositions that will be used to pursue, win and grow business.

Collects, reviews and analyzes customer data and market intelligence from all sources.

Champions a customer-focused culture within the site through a mentoring process as well as through formal education / training programs.

Works with the teams to win and grow business by ensuring that they remain focused and aligned in supporting the strategies and tactics.

Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of the AMS, IT, SCM and site teams.

Educates the Sales / BD team members in regards to site capabilities (technology, capacity, business needs).

Reports indirectly to the AMS GM and site GMs, keeping them up to date on all opportunities, win / loss information and business forecasting.

Works to ensure consistency in processes and approaches across all sites (one-face-to-the-customer).

Develops and presents general site-focused presentations to customers during visits.

Participates in customer tours of sites.

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.

Strong knowledge of SCM and manufacturing processes and ERP applications.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Strong business analysis skills

Strong time management / multitasking skills

Ability to work with and influence other individuals in a non-confrontational manner.

Strong administration, prioritization, and logistics / coordination skills.

Ability to work independently, and simultaneously work as a member of several virtual teams.

Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Overnight travel may be required, up to 25%.

  • 4+ years' experience

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
