Description :
Occupational Therapy (OT) uses everyday activities, or "occupations," to help individuals overcome physical, mental, developmental, and emotional challenges that impact their ability to perform daily tasks. Key responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist include, but are not limited to :
- Evaluating patient conditions and determining their needs.
- Developing personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
- Assessing home and work environments and suggesting modifications to promote independence.
- Training patients and caregivers to use specialized equipment.
- Documenting patient progress for evaluation, billing, and reporting.
