Overview
Provides clinical care and oversight for the CDC's Every Woman's Life grant program, which supports education, breast and cervical screening and high-risk screening for women who qualify for the grant. Works with community clinics, Every Woman's Life program leaders, nurses, physicians and clinical and operations teams to ensure the highest level of quality services are provided. The Community Outreach RN manages the care and process for scheduling patients, organizing screening events, securing radiology / radiologists participation and surgeons, etc. as needed, appropriate. Supports other screenings provided for other types of cancer prevention and early detection screenings / vaccines, including prostate, HPV, skin, colorectal, etc. Acts as an advocate and ambassador for the division and its programs and services.
What you will do
- Plan, organize lead screening events for grants and other programs.
- Provide nursing clinical expertise to education, screening, testing and communication to patients about results and next steps.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with members of the community, Riverside Health System physicians, clinicians, team members, cancer prevention organizations and others to advance the goals of the division to prevent or detect cancer in its earliest stage.
- Lead the development of programs to educate the community about ways to prevent cancer, screen for early detection and improve the health of our communities.
