JOB SUMMARY :
The Disabilities Coordinator is responsible for the coordination provision and referral of all aspects of service to those children who have been identified as having a disability. The disabilities coordinator is responsible for the tracking and implementation of special services. This person must ensure that families are supported during the process of obtaining special services or once a child receives services that the services are being implemented. This position is responsible for ensuring the program meets all rules regulations and mandates for disability services. Plan and provide training related to disability services available to families and supports for staff and policies and procedures for the department and agency. Ensure monitoring agency collaboration and tracking of disability services.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelors degree in early childhood Human Development related fields or experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Ability to work with infants toddlers preschoolers prenatal women and their families.
- Valid drivers license and proof of liability insurance.
- Provide / maintain all required immunizations and / or vaccinations.
- Complete all required background checks.
