The Street Outreach Program (SOP) Outreach Worker collaborates with other SOP staff and volunteers to conduct on-street outreach, in all 8 wards of Washington, D.C., as well as providing support to other outreach teams when necessary. The Outreach Worker researches areas, creates maps, and gathers information from case managers to inform outreach efforts to locate homeless and unstably housed youth. During outreach efforts, the Outreach Worker will provide an initial assessment to youth, distribute survival aid and information, and potentially transport youth to safe facilities.

Latin American Youth Center’s (LAYC) mission is to empower youth to achieve a successful transition to adulthood, through comprehensive and innovative programs that address youths’ social, academic, and career needs. This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 10 lbs. May require the ability to travel locally and / or regionally.
