Under the supervision of the Manager of PACU provides professional high-quality patient care for ages Neonate-Geriatrics using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) including documentation of patient care in accordance with nursing practice and standards of care.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within the surgical service unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities.2. Revises nursing orders / care plans based on physician's orders and effectiveness of interventions to impact desired outcomes, ensuring quality patient care.3. Responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.4. Sets priorities for emergencies, changes in patient status, and unusual occurrences. Demonstrates the ability to re-prioritize.5. Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients / families in accordance with hospital standards.6. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.7. Complies with hospital standards for documentation in medical records. Identifies documentation problems and suggests corrective action.8. Provides safe patient care for patients according to hospital policy, and abides by the Code of Conduct and Compliance program.9. - Current completion of certification in BLS. ACLS and PALS certificationsCurrent / active RN Hawaii License required to apply CPAN certification and BSN preferredEXPERIENCE : Two (2) or more years full-time PACU experience, including Phase I and II recovery in large tertiary / quaternary medical center prior to any travel assignmentsOne (1) or more years ICU RN experience prior to PACU experience or within last 3 years. Experience in similar setting is highly desired : large, quarternary, Level I trauma medical centeCOMPLIANCE : Must clear ALL by 7 / 3 / 23 for a 7 / 10 start. (Next available start date 7 / 24 / 23. Not recruiting for August start dates)ALL TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF COMPLETED COVID & FLU VACCINATIONS
