RESPONSIBILITIES : \n
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit \u00a0 RN\u2019s (PACU RNs) assesses patients\u2019 health in pre-op state. PACU RNs are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications. PACU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to : \n \n
PACU RNs educate families and patients about homecare instructions \n
Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities \n
Assess patient\u2019s condition after surgery is performed, ensuring that all vital signs are within range \n
Monitor patient\u2019s condition changes and reports changes to healthcare team \n
Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies \n
