Job description

School-based paraprofessional substitute opportunities are now available, offering flexible, as-needed shifts to support students and educators. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and staff
  • Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
  • Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEP guidelines as applicable
  • Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care as needed
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18
  • TB test (per district guidelines)
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
  • Current state and district clearances, or be willing to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required but a plus)
  • Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
