Position Overview
This position leads the District I Warrant Process, overseeing the full lifecycle of warrant activities, including review, approval, tracking, reporting, and compliance. The role ensures the integrity of district and statewide warrant procedures while managing highly sensitive information. Serves as a central coordinator with parole staff, courts, law enforcement, Chicago Adult Transition Centers, and out-of-state partners. Responsibilities include supervising diversion review staff, coordinating transports, supporting From Other State (FOS) processing, overseeing DNA testing coordination with Illinois State Police, maintaining Offender 360 records, conducting audits, resolving compliance issues, and delivering staff training.This position blends leadership, policy expertise, and hands-on operational management in a fast-paced criminal justice environment. Essential Functions
- Serves as Administrator for the District I Warrant Process.
- Facilitates District 1 (Chicago Police Central Detention) and Cook County Branch Courts diversion reviews and transports.
- Provides training to parole staff on warrant process and procedures.
- Coordinates and facilitates From Other State (FOS) processing for District 1 parole including training staff, scheduling, processing DNA tests, forwarded test kits to Illinois State Police for indexing, and uploading information into the Offender 360 System.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
